I highly respect medical professionals and, in my experience as a patient and as someone specializing in pre/postnatal fitness, I've seen a lot of vague recommendations given to pregnant people as well as outdated information.

While this may not be true of all providers it certainly does happen for the simple fact that prenatal fitness isn't something they're required to be informed about or stay up to date on.
