Diastasis Recti: Tips for Prevention and Recovery

There’s typically a lot of fear around diastasis recti (DR) in pregnancy and early postpartum. You might be surprised (and relieved) to learn that this abdominal separation is a normal and natural part of pregnancy!

The degree to which DR affects new and expecting moms varies. While we can’t necessarily “avoid” getting DR all together, there are some preventative measures we can put in place to protect our core and keep it from stretching beyond what it needs to for baby.
