One of the biggest adjustments for me in my first pregnancy was adjusting my fitness goals. In the past, I’ve had goals of weight loss, fat loss, athletic performance, strength gain, and I’m sure others. But pregnancy threw me for a total loop. I suddenly questioned everything…

  • Was I wasting my time?

  • Was this safe?

  • What “should” I really be doing to support my body right now?

When I started my pre/postnatal certification it became super clear to me why we exercise during this important phase of our life. 

To be honest, it was different than any goal or result I’d ever trained for before. It wasn’t “just” about me anymore. It was about the entire journey into motherhood, keeping my baby safe and thriving, and making sure my body was supported as it made some BIG changes.

As soon as I shifted away from my pre-pregnancy fitness goals I was able to get more consistent in my workouts and more motivated/excited too! This was something I struggled with and see lots of mamas struggle with when they are in the confused, second-guessing-everything mentality.
